Donny Darkpop is a record producer known for his work with Cali Cartier, Amir Astra, Ginger Taylor, Marado, and more. Based in Los Angeles, he is a driving force behind a growing roster of artists on the rise.From humble beginnings growing up in Western Mass he played his first pro gigs on guitar at age 15. Over the next decade while touring and teaching music lessons he built a studio from the ground up and began producing local artists.In June 2024 he packed up his corolla and drove xc to LA. Soon after arriving he was hired to produce a series of writing camps run by a former Sony Exec. There he met frequent collaborators including Amir Astra, Marado, and Iyana. The following two years have seen a prolific string of releases.His intention for the next five years is to help shape the sound and vision of culturally relevant artists.Day to day you will find him in his studio in Studio City which he shares with Grammy winning engineers Danny Garcia and Tyler Sheppard, at home in K-Town, or headed to the beach with his fiance Willow & their cattle dog Blueberry to the beach.
