Donny Darkpop is a Record Producer, songwriter, and engineer based in Los Angeles. He has produced early hits by Amir Astra, Marado, and Ginger Taylor, and is a driving force behind a growing roster of artists on the rise.From humble beginnings growing up in Western Mass he played his first pro gigs on guitar at Southwick Inn age 15. for a decade he cut his teeth playing weekend tours with bands all throughout New England, drumming as a member of the Trashtones. Over a decade of touring and teaching music he built a studio and began producing artists in Hadley MA. In June 2024 he sold everything and drove xc to LA with his girlfriend Willow.Soon after arriving he was hired to produce a series of writing camps run by a former Sony Exec. He locked in with many artists he met there, and the following two years saw a prolific string of releases.His intention for the years to come is to become a producer at the highest lecel, responsible for defining the sound of culturally relevant artists through writing kickass songs and real shit.Day to day you will find him in his studio in Studio City which he shares with Grammy winning engineers Danny Garcia and Tyler Sheppard, at home in Korea town, or taking his cattle dog Blueberry with Willow to the beach.
